1. Introduction

PocketNode ("we", "us", "our") operates the PocketNode mobile application and website at pocketnode.org. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data.

By using PocketNode, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you disagree, please discontinue using our services.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service:

  • Account information: email address and username provided during registration.
  • Device information: anonymous hardware identifiers, OS version, and device model used to calculate computing capacity. We do not collect your phone number, contacts, or location.
  • Usage analytics: anonymized app session data (screens visited, feature usage frequency) to improve the product. This data cannot identify you individually.
  • Wallet address: your BSC wallet address for PNODE token payouts, provided voluntarily by you.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Service delivery: account management, task routing, PNODE token earnings calculation and payout.
  • Security: fraud detection, account protection, network integrity monitoring.
  • Improvements: anonymized analytics help us understand which features are most useful and where to improve performance.
  • Communications: transactional emails (account confirmation, payout notifications). We do not send unsolicited marketing without your explicit consent.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secured servers located in the EU and/or US. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) to protect your information. Access is restricted to authorized personnel only.

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. PNODE Token and Blockchain Transparency

PNODE token transactions occur on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC), a public blockchain. Any transaction you initiate — including earnings payouts and token transfers — is publicly visible on the blockchain by design. This is a fundamental property of blockchain technology, not a choice made by PocketNode.

Your wallet address is pseudonymous on-chain. PocketNode does not publish or sell any link between your identity and your wallet address.

6. Cookies

Our website uses only essential session cookies required for authentication and security. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies that follow you across websites.

7. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third parties to deliver our service:

  • Binance Smart Chain (BSC): a public blockchain network. All token transactions are broadcast to the public BSC network.
  • Google / GitHub OAuth: optional social login. If you choose to log in via Google or GitHub, their respective privacy policies apply to that authentication step.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): used to deliver push notifications to your Android device. Google's Privacy Policy applies to FCM data processing.

We do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.

8. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure: request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection: object to processing of your data for direct marketing.
  • Restriction: ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances.

9. Children's Privacy

PocketNode is not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of PocketNode after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
